If so where is it located.

Once that is accomplished put the jeep back into gear and slide the transfer case handle up into 2 high.
Truth is the factory linkages are prone to working themselves loose or breaking completely.
It s more common if you often engage 4h and often go wheeling.
In high range both rear wheel turn but neither front wheel will turn.

The vacuum hoses can also cause the 4wd system not to engage and can occur when 4h is selected and everything in the vacuum system is working but the vacuum pressure does not travel all the way to the front axle shift motor.
