Installing Composition Roofing

Before installing any roofing materials make sure that the roof deck is smooth properly fastened to the roof trusses dry and free of any gaps or holes.

Lay asphalt felt paper or special waterproof underlayment such as a self healing membrane over the roof. Step 4 place the second layer of composite roofing shingles.

Rolled msr roofing is thinner larger cheaper less durable and is horizontally installed in long strips. Install drip edge flashings roofing felt and wsu if needed. Install material on the other side of the roof. This allows accurate positioning of the shingle before nailing it.

Rolled roofing is vaguely similar in that it is also an oil based asphalt product. Use four roofing nails per shingle.
